Patrick Chapalain is the Chief Executive Officer of Gulmar Offshore and has been involved in all types of shallow and deep water offshore construction works, saturation and air diving works, IRM, flexible and rigid pipe laying, deep water ROV operations, deep and shallow mooring systems installation and floating systems hook‐ups. Over the past 8 years, he has assumed a number of line management positions, culminating with the last 4 years as a Director then Vice President at SBM Offshore, based in Houston, USA.

He has been with the SBM Offshore group since 1999, where he has assumed different positions from field engineer to Director of the Service Division. Previously he worked as a Field Engineer at Stolt, Comex, Seaway in France from 1996 to 1998 and prior to that at Dukim (Dumez Nigeria).

Patrick is a graduate of the Ecole Superieure d’Ingenieurs de Marseille, France.

Neil joined Gulmar in 2010. He is an experienced CFO / Finance Director, having operated at both main board and divisional board level in the service, manufacturing, trading and contracting sectors. He spent seven years in the oil and gas sub-sea engineering and construction industry with Acergy including spells as the Finance Director of the two largest regions.

Prior to this he was CFO of the Dietsmann Group where his achievements included completing a significant share placement. His oil and gas experience also includes senior positions with ICI Petroleum, Oceaneering and KD Marine.

His experience outside the oil and gas sector includes leading the management buy-in of a packaging company and five years in the Middle East working in senior finance positions for local conglomerates.

Gary is the in-house counsel for Gulmar. Gary has twelve years experience of working with petroleum industry contracts and maritime law. Previous to joining Gulmar, Gary worked in the energy and maritime groups of two major international law firms based in the City of London, and as a consultant at IHS CERA, specialising in regulatory matters for the petroleum industry, which included working as project manager on projects to redraft the existing petroleum legal and contractual framework of a major OPEC member country.

An English qualified solicitor, Gary holds a Bachelor of Laws degree and was originally qualified as an English qualified Barrister before cross qualifying to a solicitor.
